LOCAL STUDENTS

Huron College offers Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate programs that are tailor made to meet the demand in current and future labor markets. We offer flexible study hours and various schedules to suit individual needs and requirements. Our admission process is simple and straightforward.

If you are just out of school wondering which direction to take, want to advance in your current position or you are not happy with your current position and thinking of changing your career path, our course counselors will sit with you to discuss various options to help you make an intelligent decision. Huron College also offers programs to those who want to equip themselves with basic computer skills, Language and personality development courses and several advanced certification programs.

In order to qualify for admission into Huron College of Management, Technology and Health Care, you will require

  • High School Diploma (12th Grade or equivalent)
  • Aptitude test or personal interview to evaluate your strength and to understand your training needs
  • Other pre-requisites may be required depending upon the program applied

Persons who have not acquired a High School Diploma but have been out of school for at least one year and above 18 years of age can apply as mature students. For most of the programs you do not need to write an assessment test if you meet the programs minimum requirements and are proficient in English. Admission into some programs may require taking an entrance assessment and interview to evaluate your strengths and to understand your training needs. Please contact the Course Counselor for program specific admission requirements

The general requirements for Local students to apply for a program are:

  • Photo copy of highest academic qualifications
  • Completed online Application Form
  • Proof of Canadian residency or citizenship
  • One passport size photograph and one digital picture
  • Other pre-requisites may be required depending upon the program applied

Process

Fill in the application form online or down load the form in PDF format. Submit it along with relevant documents and a non-refundable registration fee of CAD 100, which will be applied to the cost of tuition upon admission into the program.

Registration Fee

CAD 100.

Payment Schedule

Local students must pay a minimum of 25% at the time of registration and the rest can be paid before the beginning of study session or in installments. Financial assistance or funding is available to those who qualify. EI/HRDC/WSIB/SA recipients may qualify for free training.

Fees can be paid by bank draft, money order, certified cheque or wire transfer to the college's bank account. All the payments should be made payable to Huron College of Management, Technology and Health Care.

Conditions and refund policy

  • All fees listed are quoted in CAD unless otherwise specified
  • All tuition fees and application fees must be paid in full on or before the beginning of the study session
  • All fees are non-transferable under any conditions
  • The tuition fee does not include the cost of study material, exam fee, certificate/diploma, food, stay, transportation and additional expenses like medical insurance, extracurricular activities, etc.
  • Local students must pay a minimum of 25% at the time of registration and the rest can be paid before the beginning of study session or in installments.
  • If the students are sponsored by a corporation or funded by government agency the college will determine the payment plan with the sponsor or loan office.
  • If we cancel the classes a full refund will be issued.
  • Students are entitled to a refund of fees paid for the program minus 20% of the total fees for the program or 500 dollars, whichever is less, if the student withdraws from the program before it commences.
  • Students must return any goods they received under a contract in the same state they were in when supplied to them (unopened) within 10 days of withdrawing in order to get credit for them.

PLEASE NOTE THAT

  • Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal with concern to refunds
  • Fees paid for courseware includes shipping costs and are non-refundable
  • Exam fee and special services fees are non-refundable
  • Processing of refunds takes 30 days after receiving the written request
  • All programs are subject to sufficient enrollment and so may be cancelled or rescheduled or transferred
